ASSA ABLOY moves on entrance control with Gunnebo deal

The lock giant agrees to buy Gunnebo Entrance Control — roughly EUR 151 million in 2025 revenue from speed gates, transit gates and security revolving doors — with closing expected in Q4.

ASSA ABLOY has signed an agreement to acquire Gunnebo Entrance Control, the Maresfield, UK-headquartered entrance control manufacturer with around 670 employees and manufacturing across Europe, the US and Asia.

Gunnebo Entrance Control generated revenue of about EUR 151 million in 2025. The business will join the Pedestrian segment of ASSA ABLOY’s Entrance Systems division, and the acquisition — subject to regulatory approval — is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. The purchase price was not disclosed; ASSA ABLOY says the deal will initially have a small dilutive effect on earnings per share.

The move consolidates one of the last large independent turnstile and speed-gate makers into the industry’s biggest opening-solutions group.
